Terms of Service

These terms explain the conditions for using Words for God, including its prayer, Scripture, AI and connected-platform features.

Core boundary: Words for God does not speak for God and does not replace Scripture, a faith community, professional advice, safeguarding support or emergency care.

1. Agreement

By accessing or using Words for God, you agree to these Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. “Words for God”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to this independent service operated from the United Kingdom.

2. The service

Words for God provides prayer-vocabulary pathways, Scripture reading and search, reading plans, private reflections, optional audio, export tools and optional AI-assisted study or prayer suggestions. Connected-platform features may allow an eligible user to authorise a TikTok account and send a user-selected devotional video to TikTok after reviewing its settings.

Features may be added, changed, limited or removed. The core service is currently provided without charge, but third-party connectivity and data charges may apply.

3. Eligibility

You must be legally able to agree to these terms. Online AI and connected-platform features are intended for people aged 16 or older. To use TikTok features, you must also satisfy TikTok's age, location, account and eligibility requirements.

4. Spiritual, health and safety boundary

  • Generated or curated material is for prayer, reflection and general educational support. It may be incomplete or mistaken and should be checked against Scripture and trusted sources.
  • The service does not provide medical, mental-health, legal, financial or safeguarding advice.
  • Prayer content does not promise healing, protection from every hardship, financial gain or a particular divine outcome.
  • If you are in immediate danger, may harm yourself or another person, or need urgent help, contact emergency services and a trusted person now.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the service unlawfully, deceptively, abusively or to harm another person;
  • upload or transmit material you do not have the right to use;
  • include another person's confidential, identifying or sensitive information without a lawful basis;
  • attempt to obtain another user's data, bypass security, exceed rate limits, automate abuse or interfere with the service;
  • present AI-generated material as a verified message from God, professional advice or documentary evidence of an event; or
  • use a TikTok integration to spam, copy arbitrary third-party material, conceal advertising or evade TikTok rules.

6. Your content and instructions

You keep ownership of original prayer text, reflections and media you create. You give us a limited permission to process that material only as needed to provide the feature you request—for example, saving it locally, generating an AI response, preparing an export or transmitting a selected video to TikTok.

You are responsible for checking your content, captions, Scripture quotation, music, images, disclosures and permissions before sharing or publishing. Do not upload confidential pastoral conversations or material belonging to another person without permission.

7. AI-assisted features

AI output is generated probabilistically and may be inaccurate, unsuitable or inconsistent. You must review it before relying on or sharing it. Do not treat an AI response as divine revelation, authoritative doctrine, professional advice or a substitute for human care. We may limit prompts, refuse unsafe requests or suspend AI availability to protect users and the service.

8. TikTok connection and posting

Words for God is independent and is not sponsored, endorsed or operated by TikTok. If TikTok connectivity is available:

  • You decide whether to connect an account and which permissions to grant.
  • You must be shown the connected account, content preview and the current posting options supplied by TikTok.
  • You must review and manually choose required privacy and interaction settings. Nothing is published until you provide final consent.
  • You are responsible for complying with TikTok's Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, Music Usage Confirmation, branded-content rules and AI-content disclosure requirements.
  • Processing and moderation by TikTok may delay, restrict or reject a post. We cannot guarantee publication, visibility, reach or account eligibility.
  • You may revoke access through TikTok. Revocation prevents future authorised actions but cannot undo a post already sent to TikTok.

9. Scripture, media and third-party services

The service may display Bible translations, historical religious texts, audio, links and data supplied by third parties under their respective permissions or licences. Translation names, platform names and other marks belong to their owners. Availability may change because of provider, rights, technical or geographic restrictions.

Third-party services—including MiniMax, Scripture providers and TikTok—operate under their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their independent acts or decisions.

10. Our materials

Except for third-party material and your own content, the Words for God interface, original writing, organization, software, graphics and branding are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. You may use the service for personal prayer, study and permitted sharing, but you may not copy, resell, scrape or republish substantial parts of it without permission.

11. Availability and changes

We aim to provide a reliable service but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. We may maintain, secure, update or discontinue features and may block requests that create security, legal, rights or operational risk.

12. Responsibility and liability

Use the service with appropriate judgment and maintain your own exports or backups where needed. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect or unforeseeable loss arising from reliance on generated content, loss of browser-stored data, third-party service failure, or a platform's moderation or distribution decision.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or death or personal injury caused by negligence. If consumer law gives you mandatory rights, those rights remain unaffected.

13. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the service at any time and delete local data through the app. We may suspend access to online or connected features where reasonably necessary for security, abuse prevention, legal compliance, provider requirements or a material breach of these terms.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts with jurisdiction under applicable consumer law may hear disputes. We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve a concern informally.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when the service or law changes. The effective date will be updated, and material changes will be highlighted where reasonably practical. Continued use after an update means the revised terms apply from their effective date.
